This month’s focus will be on Opposing Viewpoints in Context. Once again I am choosing am choosing to focus on a databases that has many similar features as other “In Context” databases that I already highlighted. Several ELA teachers have already utilized this database with their students and reported positive feedback. Previously, books published by Cengage Learning would be purchased by Tri County focused on a specific topic. It would have been costly to try and have all the books on all the topics covered in this wonderful collection
Using Opposing Viewpoints in Context in your classroom will allow students to view an extensive list of resources of the topic they are interested in. Aside from having many relevant topics, Gale Cengage provides lessons you may find useful to you. One example is the topic of allowing parents’ access to Social Media accounts of their children.
