The Databases and E-Resources section has sixteen sub menus. This is the third of eight sections that will help you gain access to information on your journey while you are a student at Tri County RVTSD.
A databases is a collection of information organized to provide efficient retrieval. The collected information could be in any number of formats (electronic, printed, graphic, audio, statistical, combinations). At Tri County more than 50 databases provide you access to millions of primary and secondary sources. Unlike information found on the Internet through a regular search engine, information found in a databases is vetted by the companies who own these vast resource pools. Access to databases requires school credentials.

Users will learn to manage credit and debt, save and invest with confidence, plan for college and retirement, and avoid fraud and scams.

Gale Databases
There are more than 50 unique databases in the Gale Cengage collection that are provided through the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners and Massachusetts Library System with state funds and federal Institute of Museum and Library Services funds. Working with the right database will lead you to the most useful articles to provide you helpful information to your research. Gale offers a very helpful tool you should use called "Topic Finder" . It will save you time and get you to articles that are focus on your key words. It is my recommendation that you become familiar with each of the databases below in order that you can "go fish" in the best source group. |
